Product Description

The Kato N Scale Amtrak P42 and Superliner Starter Set (106-0017) is an all-in-one model train kit that includes a GE P42 Genesis locomotive, three Phase IVb Superliner passenger cars, a 3'x4' oval of snap-together UNITRACK, and a power pack.

What Comes in the Box
Locomotive: GE P42 "Genesis" diesel engine in Amtrak livery (DC powered, DCC-compatible).
Rolling Stock: Three bi-level Superliner passenger cars featuring smooth-rolling trucks and knuckle couplers.
Track: A complete 3-foot by 4-foot oval of Kato UNITRACK with an integrated re-railing track piece.
Power & Control: Kato Power Pack (standard DC controller) with connection wires.
Accessories: A rerailing ramp tool and a starter instruction guide. 
Scale and Size: Built to 1:160 N scale, making it compact enough for a tabletop yet expandable.
Modular Track: The patented roadbed track snaps together securely and can expand into a larger layout.
Upgrade Friendly: The locomotive is designed for easy DCC decoder installation if you want to upgrade from standard DC analog control later
